Les Concerts de Villeneuve grew out of a very concrete project: the organist Nicole Hostettler founded the association to bring together lovers of classical music, but also to fund the restoration of the organ of the Saint-Paul church. The first event took place on 21 March 1982, with flautists and a harpsichordist. The bet paid off: the new mechanical-action organ, from the Kuhn workshop in Zurich, was inaugurated on 13 January 1991. The season has continued ever since, more than two hundred concerts organised, juggling classical tradition and music from other horizons, welcoming musicians from the region as well as international names, among them the pianists Till Fellner and Delphine Bardin, laureates of the Clara Haskil Competition. The association has been chaired since 2020 by Bertrand Curchod.
