In La Tour-de-Peilz, in a green setting overlooking Lake Geneva, the Domaine de La Doges is a manor house recorded since the 17th century. Bequeathed in 1997 to the Vaud section of Patrimoine suisse, which made it its seat, it was handed over with its furniture, artworks and objects, witnesses of a bourgeois home of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Listed as a historic monument in 2003, it is open to the public: free guided tours and, since 2018, concerts, shows and lectures in the restored barn as well as in the great salon and the park, where jazz and classical music resound.
The Domaine de La Doges
A manor house bequeathed to heritage
Recorded since the 17th century, the La Doges manor house stands in a green setting, with a panoramic view of the lake. Over the centuries several owners, including the Joffrey and Palézieux families, shaped its face. In 1997 André and Odette Coigny-de Palézieux bequeathed it to the Vaud section of Patrimoine suisse, which made it its seat in the early 2000s; the estate’s vineyards went to the Confrérie des Vignerons.
The house was handed over with its furniture, its artworks and the everyday objects of well-to-do Vaud families of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Listed as a historic monument in 2003, its roof, façades and then, in 2024, its painted decors were restored in keeping with the original substance. In 2024 the estate joined the Association of Vaud Castles.

Concerts and culture in the barn
Since 2018, in the fine season, the estate’s barn has hosted concerts, shows, lectures and gatherings. A performance hall was inaugurated there that year, thanks to the support of the Loterie romande, the Fondation Sandoz and the Commune of La Tour-de-Peilz. The great salon and the park also resound several times a year with jazz and classical music.

The Vaud section of Patrimoine suisse lets the public enjoy this precious heritage throughout the year. Free guided tours take place every last Saturday of the month (except in August and December), by reservation (ladoges@patrimoinesuisse-vd.ch) and for up to twelve people: the park is then freely accessible from 1 to 6 pm, while the interior of the house can only be discovered with a guide. The primary school classes of La Tour-de-Peilz also hold their autumn outing there.
