Albin Christen is an artist and graphic designer from Lausanne. Still little known, in 2000 he created the official poster for the 34th Montreux Jazz Festival: a sphere teeming with multicoloured figures from every culture, echoing the zeros of the year 2000 and paying tribute to the utopia of a humanist, multicultural millennium. He is also responsible, in the old town of Montreux, for the colourful, folk façade of the Café-Restaurant du Grütli, now a picturesque detour of the local heritage.
