Albin Christen
Albin Christen is an artist and graphic designer from Lausanne. Still little known, in 2000 he created the official poster for the 34th Montreux Jazz Festival: a sphere teeming with multicoloured figures from every culture, echoing the zeros of the year 2000 and paying tribute to the utopia of a humanist, multicultural millennium. He is also responsible, in the old town of Montreux, for the colourful, folk façade of the Café-Restaurant du Grütli, now a picturesque detour of the local heritage.

The poster for the 34th edition
Albin Christen is an artist and graphic designer from Lausanne, still little known when the Montreux Jazz Festival commissioned him to design the poster for its 34th edition, in 2000.
He delivered a sphere teeming with multicoloured figures from every culture: an echo of the zeros of the year 2000, and a tribute to the utopia of a humanist, multicultural millennium.
