Eternal
The industrial metal band from Valais, one of Switzerland’s biggest metal exports, recorded “Eternal” at Mountain Studios: Queen’s studio served music right up to its final Montreux days.
Rock, pop & metal

Samael is one of the few Swiss bands to figure in the history of Mountain Studios. Coming out of extreme metal before moving towards an industrial and orchestral sound, the band recorded its fifth album, “Eternal”, in Montreux in the spring of 1999, with David Richards producing. The record was released on 19 July 1999 on Century Media and was mastered in London. For a band from the country itself, working in the studio bought by Queen carried the weight of recognition.
