Plaque Stravinski (Tavel)

- Type
- Plaque
- Address
- Rue du Sacre du Printemps, Tavel, Clarens
It was in the Tavel district, above Clarens, that Igor Stravinsky lived and worked during his Montreux years. He stayed in particular at the Les Tilleuls guesthouse, where he completed “The Rite of Spring”: the score is signed “Clarens, 8 March 1913”. The street is now called Rue du Sacre du Printemps in tribute to the work, and a commemorative plaque marks the house where the composer lived. A peaceful detour, between vines and old stone, to touch one of the birthplaces of modern music.
