On the Avenue des Alpes, Rootness was founded in 2013 by Isaias and Thony Vega. It is neither a shop nor a school: the company describes itself as a creative ecosystem serving emerging Swiss talent. There are recording studios, but also everything around them, artistic direction, building a musical identity, producing videos and content, a photo studio. Jonathan Max, Solo Dos, Ivan Hermez and El Tiger have worked there. In a town whose legendary studios mostly served stars who came from elsewhere, Rootness makes the opposite bet: bringing artists into being on the spot.
