Producer and sound engineer at Mountain Studios for two decades, David Richards (1956-2013) shaped the sound of dozens of albums recorded in Montreux: he worked with Queen on their Montreux albums, co-produced “Made in Heaven”, and collaborated closely with David Bowie. His bust stands outside the Casino Barrière, a few metres from the studio where so much music came to life. David Richards rests in the Clarens cemetery, on the lakeside west of Montreux.
