On the Grand-Rue, a stone’s throw from the Place du Marché and the Freddie Mercury statue, the Bazar Suisse is a Montreux institution: it offers one of the town’s finest selections of items devoted to Queen and Freddie Mercury, from classic souvenirs to collectors’ pieces. A natural stop before or after the pilgrimage to the statue, to leave with a piece of Montreux. In January 1997, during his stay in Montreux, Michael Jackson shopped here: according to the press, he bought a Barbie doll and a pair of handcuffs.
