Jongny

Nestled in a park in the wine-growing village of Jongny, above Vevey and at the gateway to Lavaux, the Hôtel du Léman offers a sweeping view of the lake and the Alps. It was on its terrace that, in 2026, the live session of Selah Sue and The Gallands was filmed for the Montreux Jazz Festival.

A balcony over the lake at Jongny

Nestled in a park in the wine village of Jongny, on the heights of Vevey and at the gates of Lavaux, the Hôtel du Léman overlooks the lake and the Savoy Alps. Far from the bustle of the quays, it is a quiet address, feet in the greenery and eyes in the blue, taking in the whole Riviera.

Selah Sue & The Gallands, 2026

For its 60th edition, the Montreux Jazz Festival and the label Because Music chose the terrace of the Hôtel du Léman for an open-air live session. Facing the lake, Selah Sue and the duo The Gallands played the tracks of the album “Movin’”, in a setting that swaps spotlights for mountains and water.

Co-produced by Montreux Media Ventures and Because Music, the recording was broadcast on ARTE.TV and RTS.

A base among the vines

The hotel is also an ideal base to explore from: the terraces of Lavaux and the winegrowers’ cellars are minutes away, Vevey and its market just below, and the vineyard paths pass close by. You come back in the evening for a table facing the sunset over Lake Geneva.
