- Type
- Sculpture
- Address
- Jardins du Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, Montreux
An orange polka-dot heart set on a blue note, cut from steel, on a yellow plinth bearing a handwritten line: “Montreux Jazz Festival, 40 years”. The work of the Brazilian Romero Britto, founder of the Happy Art Movement, marks the festival’s fortieth anniversary, celebrated in 2006. It stands in the private part of the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace gardens, a few steps from the statue of Claude Nobs and the row of jazz busts. You cannot walk up to it, but it is clearly visible from the quays, between two magnolias.
