Microphone in hand and arm raised, the queen of soul sings for eternity in the garden of the Montreux Palace. This bust of Aretha Franklin, sculpted by Marco Zeno and donated by Barbara J. Riley to Claude Nobs, recalls her concert of 12 June 1971 at the Casino de Montreux, the last she gave with King Curtis and the Kingpins. The first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she remains one of the most influential voices of the twentieth century.
