Buste de Quincy Jones

- Type
- Bust
- Address
- Jardin du Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, Montreux
Arms raised like a conductor, the bust of Quincy Jones salutes one of the greatest producers in the history of music, sculpted by Marco Zeno. A long-time partner of Claude Nobs, “Q” co-produced the 1991 edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival, the one with Miles Davis’s final concert. The producer of “Thriller” and dozens of classics, he has been part of the festival family for decades. Quincy Jones also produced the three albums that made Michael Jackson pop’s greatest star, “Off the Wall” (1979), “Thriller” (1982) and “Bad” (1987). The statue stands in the garden of the hotel where Jackson stayed in 1997, in the suite that now bears Quincy Jones’s name.
