Plaque Claude Nobs (Petit Palais)

- Type
- Plaque
- Address
- Avenue Claude-Nobs, près de l'entrée du Petit Palais, Montreux
In 2013, a few months after the death of Claude Nobs, Montreux renamed “Avenue Claude Nobs” the stretch of the Grand-Rue that runs past its grand hotels, where the heart of the Montreux Jazz Festival beats. The plaque was unveiled in the presence of Quincy Jones during the festival’s 47th edition, the first without its founder. It can be seen near the entrance to the Petit Palais, the Belle Époque pavilion of the Montreux Palace that today houses the Montreux Jazz Café. It recalls the man who made his town a world capital of music.
