- Address
- Avenue Claude-Nobs, Montreux
In 2013, a few months after the death of Claude Nobs, Montreux renamed a stretch of its Grand-Rue “Avenue Claude Nobs”, between the Rue du Lac and the foot of the Avenue de la Gare, about 500 metres. This artery runs past the 2M2C, the Vernex park and the quays where the Montreux Jazz Festival unfolds. The renaming, announced by mayor Laurent Wehrli during the 47th edition, the first without its founder, took effect on 1 October 2013; the plaque was unveiled in the presence of Quincy Jones, near the entrance of the Petit Palais.
